TT 101: Third Thursdays (TT) started in 2008 by local artist collaboration in downtown Hutchinson who shared a passion for art, music, and community. Community-driven projects and events are hosted in celebration of art, music, and community. Activities are focused in downtown Hutchinson, encourage supporting local business, and feature live music and food trucks. Third Thursday happens year-round; most outdoor activities and live music takes place in the outdoor season, March to October. Anyone can get information about the upcoming Third Thursday and talk to other locals about their plans at the monthly TT Tailgate on the last Tuesday of the month at the Foxtrot.

ART

Share your art or tell your story with locals and visitors.

Host a community art activity, perform live art, display your work, or share other information.

MUSIC

Show off the sound of Salt City, submit to perform live through the Music on Main program.

Musicians perform in outdoor performance spots along Main Street and inside shops and businesses. During Third Thursday special events, featured bands play on stages all around downtown. Musicians looking to perform are encouraged to attend a Music on Main Plugin or reach out to HRAH to learn more.

COMMUNITY

Share information about your organization or business with the community.

Submit a Community form to become a Third Thursday vendor, food truck, or host an information table.

Third Thursday Loves Local Businesses: Downtown business owners, and businesses all over Hutchinson, can connect with community members on Third Thursday by hiring live music, a live artist, hosting a vendor, planning an activity, and more! Attend Third Thursday Tailgate to get info, ask questions, and connect or collaborate with other locals.

Third Thursday themes can be very developed and center around local holidays or special events,

others are casual and informal,

and they can always grow and change with the community!
